Hi everyone,
I would like to invite my mother who is 57 years old house wife living in India to visit me and my husband in NSW for 2 months. Both of us are Australian residents working full time and we have a two bedroom house rented. We will be paying for her stay here in Australia.She has never worked in her life so she doesn't get any pensions as well and my brother and father supports her living in India. She has a bank account and tax returns for past 3 years. Can someone please guide me how to apply for her visa and how much funds do we have to show in her Indian bank account to apply for visitor visa?

You are asking the wrong question.

You have to satisfy the minister that the applicant is a genuine visitor.This depends, among other things on incentive to return home and adequate funds. Sometimes delegates insist on applicants having funds in their own right.

You might want to consult a registered migration agent for advice about preparing the strongest possible case.
