Hi everyone.

We are a couple who live in Johannesburg, South Africa.

We are new to this forum. We have been granted our 175 independent skills visa in March 2012. We have since been over to Australia for our first entry and we absolutely loved it. We are now at that crossroad where we have to make a decision on what we must do and how we must go about it. This feels like a daunting task. Now that we have the visa we must wrap things up on this side and start this immigration journey.

We were wondering if there are people on this forum who is currently going through the same process. The honest truth is that it will be good to be in contact with people who are also in this process of having to wrap up your old life and start a new one in Australia - mutual moral support.

One of our biggest fears is getting there and not being able to find jobs... Since we are going over on a 175 we do not have sponsored jobs and will have to go and look for jobs once we are there, because it seems that it's not going to be easy finding a job in Ausalia while still living in South Africa. I think it's that uncertainty that is stressing us out... We do not want to be in a situation where we would have to come back because we would not find jobs. We both have accounting degrees and have been workingg in accounting for more than 15 years.

Also, the logistics of the whole move! We do not know where to even start!

Anyhow, we hope to get in contact with some people who are also in the same boat or have done and gone through this already and will be able to give us some advice.

Have a great day

Arno
