Hi all. My wife and I have often spoken to traveling to Australia and perhaps even settling there. We are both US citizens and my work might be on the oder of self employment, although I wouldn't say no to a nice job. I am a psychotherapist by education, but I also help companies with organizational development. Eventually, I might be able to hire locally if the practice does well. Psychology for companies, you might say. There is one hitch, we are both in our 60s, but very healthy. Are we eligible for anything that would allow us to make plans for such a dream, or are we living in fantasy-land?

Greeting from Australia as a US citizen! I'm a long time lurker of the forum, but just recently made an account. I too am trying to settle here in Australia. I think it's a bit difficult due to your ages, but I don't think it's impossible! I hope you find your answer here. :)

Greetings Greg

Hi Greg,
I think you may in luck. As a pyschotherapist there appears to be a shortage as in most medical disciplines in Australia. Your age should be no impediment as the average age in your area would be 50+ due the time it takes to qualify and gain useful experience.:)
Good luck!
