Hi! I am applying for a single entry tourist visa. I'm planning to visit family for a period of two weeks so in my application I selected up to 3 mos as duration of visit. I was surprised that I'm being required to do a health exam and chest Xray. I believe this is because I answered yes to the question regarding previous xray that showed an anomaly.

Anyway that was during my health exam for a New Zealand resident visa application. I was cleared of any health issues so I have been living in NZ for the past 2 years as a permanent resident. I really don't want to do another health exam which will cost at least $500 considering I'm only planning to visit for 2 weeks. Has anyone else encountered something similar? What do you think are my chances of having my visa approved without doing the medical exam?
