i want help regarding eligibility for Skilled - Independent (Residence) Visa (Subclass 885).
The eligibility requirements on the immigration website states:
This visa is for you if you are in Australia and you are one of the following:
an overseas student or former overseas student
a holder of a Skilled - Graduate (subclass 485) visa or Skilled - Recognised Graduate (subclass 476) visa
a holder of a Trade Skills Training (subclass 471) visa.
of the above; i fulfill the 1st requirement "i am an overseas student"
I am a student at Deakin University and have completed 1 year of study out of 3 years PhD program.
I want to seek opinion if I am eligible to apply for this visa (as I am an overseas student visa holder) or at least 2 years study is MUST to apply.
