Hi All,

At this stage my mother is applying 600 Visitor Visa and plan to come to Australia and visit me after 7 years.

Regarding 54 Form Family Composition part, it asks my relationship status. It has the followings:

• M: Married
• E: Engaged
• F: De Facto
• S: Separated
• D: Divorced
• W: Widowed
• N: Never married or been in a de facto relationship

I applied my 189 Permeant Residency Visa 2 years ago as a primary applicant in a De Facto relationship. 1 year after 189 Visa granted, we broke up peacefully. After that till now I've never had any partner or in any De facto. I have never been married either.

So which status I should tick? S or N? I assume it should be 'N'?

I don't think it will be N, as you have told them you have been in a de facto relationship before.
S or D would be normal, but neither really suit accurately.
It needs a new option, "Single Again".

If it was me I would select S.

What if my mother has already lodged the application? She ticked N in the original Form 54.
Does she need to write a Form 1022 Change of Circumstances and update it?
Or we should write a status to explain this to PO?

She's already written N and submitted. As N refers to Never married OR never been in a de facto relationship. So our reason is if the relationship status falls into either, you can tick this.

However, we intend to update a revised 54 form. Does she needs to complete Form 1022 or does she only need to upload a revised 54 form only?
