I've completed highlighting our bank statements and our joint credit card statements to show that we pay our rent, utilities, and travel expenses together, and take turns paying for groceries. However, there are also other expenses in the statements that corroborate evidence in other parts of our applications (for example, I said in my personal relationship statement that my partner and I went to his mother's birthday. The bank statement shows that we were in her suburb when I had purchased her gift).

My question is whether I should annotate the bank statements to point these out to the case officer? There are so many of these transactions that it would clutter up the page and it also isn't directly relevant to the purpose of uploading our bank statements, which is to show that we have combined our financial affairs. So I'm a bit weary about doing this, but also don't want to assume the case officer will make these connections. Any advice?
