Hi everyone

I am confused with my complicated situation, not sure whether any of you have experienced something similar and can give me some advice. My 457 ended in October last year and then I applied for student visa. My child was born one month before the 457 ended. Out first immigration agent told my husband and I that we could not include our child in the student visa because he didn't have a passport at the time we apply the visa.

My student visa got rejected in April this year, then I went on appeal. The immigration officer noticed that I had a child and ask me to attach him to my application, but he still hadn't got his passport by that time, so I thought I couldn't do anything.

So I am holding bridging visa A from April till now. We got our child's passport in April right after we went on appeal. This week, I got the invitation for visa189. My second agent told me that we have to lodge the 189 offshore cos we have the student visa rejected earlier and we have 60 days to lodge the application. What we need to do now is to attach my child onto the student visa's review so that he can get a bridging visa same as mine, and then we can apply for bridging B and then apply the 189 offshore.

I called immigration department twice, the first guy asked us to fill in form 1022 to notify them a child was born, the second guy asked us to fill in form 929 instead of 1022. When I looked at the form1022, I realised that it is not a must to have the child's passport.

Here I come to many questions:
1. What form do I actually need to submit to attach my child?
2. How long does it take?
3. Does my child have to go through health check if he was born in Australia?
4. I notify immigration department about my child a year after he was born, does it affect my visa application in the future?
5. If I lodge the 189 offshore and come back Australia with bridging visa B, then withdraw from the appeal, will I be granted another bridging visa for waiting for 189?

Your situation is far too complicated to be answered on a public forum, you'd need to sit with one of your migration agents so they can give you advice specific to your situation.

The first agent I went to has lost her registration already, and I found her not reliable so I went to the second agent. The second agent only responsible to my 189 application, she is not willing to handle the mess left by my first agent.
