Hello,

I'll apply for a holiday travel visa soon. I'd like my friend to come along. However, the requirements to get the visa is to have higher education which he doesn't have.
Is there any way my friend can come and also additionally work?
He has an international certificate in ITF Teakwon-Do. Could he maybe teach that? And if not could he work another job? He has never been to Australia and we don't know how to find a sponsor for him while not being there.

Any help appreciated :)
You haven't give a lot of information so it will be hard for anyone here to give you any kind of proper advice.

Did you mean you're coming to Australia on a working holiday visa?

How old is your friend? Do they want to live/work in Australia? If so (and they qualify) perhaps they too can look into a working holiday visa.

Yes, sorry, I mean that I will apply for a Working Travel Visa.

The requirement for this visa for Peru is:
Hold tertiary qualifications, or have successfully completed at least 2 years of undergraduate university study.

But he doesn't have higher education. He only completed High School. He is 29 years old. He is an instructor for Teakwon-Do. (He has an international ITF certificate)

Since he doesn't qualify we thought about just a working visa. But for that a sponsor is needed. He is also willing to carry out a different job when needed.

We would like to stay in Australia for a year, or two perhaps.
I don't know a lot about the WHV (462/417). I just looked at you're right, it appears that because he is from Peru he would need to hold certain qualifications in order to be granted the visa.

I don't know enough about being sponsored by an employer either, so I would strongly suggest having your friend contact a RMA and try to find a possible pathway to a visa.

Good luck.
