hi!

I have granted 189 visa in April 2018. I have stayed 2 months in Australia then came back to home country. My visa is valid till 2022

Now, I want to know that is there any condition that person should reach back before 6 months offshore??

Around 5 months has been passed since, I left Australia. I want to stay another 2 months. Is this will effect my PR status, as someone told me that it can cancel your PR.

However, nothing like this has been mentioned in my visa condition.

Hope for response soon.

IMO, your PR status is permanent.

It's the travel facility that has a 5-year limit.

But the longer you are away from AU may mean it could take longer for you to be eligible for AU citizenship.

hi!

Thanks for quick reply. I know that longer I will away, longer will be waiting time for citizenship. But right now due to some urgent family issue, I am in need of 2 months more. So, I should assume that if I will come back after 6 months around you can say 7 months then AU will not cancel my PR or barred me for entering Australia??

You are fine. You have a permanent visa. It's only the travel authority that you need to worry about and you have 5 years travel. Staying an extra 2 months for a family emergency shouldn't be an issue in any way.

You have unlimited movement until your visa 'must not arrive after' date expires. Be aware that the more time you are away, the harder it will become, in the future, to demonstrate that you are maintaining significant ties to Australia. But, right now, you have nothing to worry about.
