How will I deal with new passport+ID if I change surname?
My Partner visa (309) got approved earlier this week after applying back in February. I want to change my surname to my husband's but I entered my maiden name for my application because that's what all my legal documents say (we got married in January), so if I was gonna change my surname before I move down there would be complications to the visa.
But before I move to Australia in January next year I'd love to change to his surname. He is currently visiting me here in Sweden and we COULD go and change it, but that would mean I'd have to renew my ID and passport before my initial migration, which wouldn't match what the Visa says.
Sooo.. to make it a little bit easier to understand my gibberish I'll try to cut down on the details:
- Once my ID and passport (with my maiden name) expire while I live in Australia, how will I be able to renew them without being an Australian citizen?
