Hello All,

I think about applying for Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189).

My details are:
I am an industrial engineer majoring information systems, meaning:
1. I am an engineer
2. My work experience (total of 9 years combined) is all from the technology sector (like technical support, Software and hardware quality assurance). I don't have any experience as an Industrial engineer.

My question is:
Will I be assessed by Austria Engineers authority or since my degree specializing is information systems (computers, IT) the assesing authority will be Australian Computer Society (ACS)?

I have a good chance to get my application approved if the proper assesing authority will take into account my past work experience. But if not, my chances to get the visa are slim and I won't even try to apply.

Please let me know if you need more details in order to provide an insight on this.
