Hi all,

Apologies if this has been posted before. I applied for a partner visa about 9 months ago, previously on a student visa. I've been working while I've been here.

I have a feeling that my partner visa will be refused. I was wondering, if I appeal, can I remain in Australia with my partner and will I still be able to work until the review?

Thanks in advance!
Your BV would continue until the hearing was finalised and most likely would have the same conditions.

Why do you think the visa will be refused and why not try and address any issues and ward off a refusal ?

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your quick response.

I'm just feeling quite pessimistic as it hasn't been very long and I have already been informed they are close to finalising our case. I've heard about so many strong cases being refused, and I don't think mine is quite as good. I'm unable to upload any more evidence (but I uploaded so, so much before the option was taken away) so there isn't much I can do at this point but just wait.

Still keeping my fingers crossed, though. Might be in touch via email if we need to appeal - I've heard many great things about you.
No worries, best of luck! It may turn out alright anyway.
