Hello,

I am a recent PhD graduate and applying for a 485 post graduate stream. I have also get married recently and my wife is still offshore and never been to Australia before. I tried to bring her to visit on a tourist visa 600 but got refused.

- Does anyone know whether it is possible to include her in the 485 application, or should I apply for her later as a subsequent entrant? I am asking because I am aware that I have to be in Australia when they make the 485 decision, but does she have to be in too ?

(1) The applicant who satisfies the primary criteria for the grant of the visa must be in Australia when the visa is granted.

(2) Each applicant who made a combined application with the applicant who satisfies the primary criteria for the grant of the visa must be in Australia when the visa is granted.

(3) In any other case, the applicant may be in or outside Australia when the visa is granted
