Hi, I am trying to apply for a protection visa due to unfortunate circumstances in my country that are affecting me, I am currently on a student visa, If I apply for a protection visa, will I still be able to study while waiting for my protection visa status to be processed? Please need help asap, Thanks.

You would normally be allowed to study. I hope you have talked to an expert about your chances of success in applying for a protection visa before you start. It can be a very slippery slope once you start if you don't meet the Geneva convention on refugees criteria as someone needing protection.
