Hi, my partner is a Sudan national and I am an Australian citizen. We have been living together in Indonesia from September 2016 until December 2016. And I have just come back over to spend March & April 2017 with him. We have been living in Indonesia on savings and haven't worked here or have any joint bank accounts/ letters/ assets. We want to apply for a Prospective Marriage Visa 300 now as he is going back to Sudan and Im going back to Australia. We have been told by a few visa agents both in Indonesia and Aus that he would probably not get approved on a tourist visa so we thought getting engaged might help us to get him to Australia. We knew each other for around a year before we moved in together and started dating also. I just wanted to know if he would have any chance of getting the PM300 visa approved as Sudan is still sanctioned by the UN. He was born and raised in Qatar and has travelled a lot, he lived in Malaysia for 3 years, has been to London, Cyprus, The UAE etc. but unfortunately has a Sudanese passport not a Qatari passport. What are our options? We don't want to be apart and I don't want to move to Sudan.
