Hi, My name is João and I am from Portugal. i just completed a PhD in Finance and have a 20 years experience working in the corporate area, as well as lecturing at the undergraduate level. As I'm sure most of you know, my country faces a deep recession and aí can't find a job inPortugal, at the age of 45. So, and since I'm single and have no kids I decided to register with ausfis.org with the purpose of helping me with the immigration process. I already lived in the UK (where I completed a MBA program) and I also wrote my PhD dissertation in English - I think I'm pretty fuent in English.
I have so many questions to ask that I don't know exactly how to start. First of all, is the ELTS exam really compulsory? Secondly, is there a shortage of lecturers in Australia? Would it be difficult for me to find a job? is it true when AUSFIS staff state that they will find a job for me even though they can not assure that it will be in the city or area I would prefer to live?

too many questions, I know. Thank you for having me at the forum.

Joao.
