Hi,

I have been invited on 18th April to apply for Visa 189. My spouse is pregnant, and I am wondering what should be my best approach, considering x-ray may not be possible at this time and we are expecting the baby in late June. Should I delay the submission of the Visa application?

Please suggest.

Thank you in advance.

You only have 60 days from the time of invitation to apply so unless you are confident you'll get another invitation, it's probably better to lodge your application. When you are requested to do the medical, you can let the case officer know that your spouse is pregnant and they will allow you to delay the x-ray until after the baby is born. You can then add the newborn to the application so they are also given a visa.
