Hi guys,

My apologies if this has been answered countless times already, but as you know rules re: visas seem to change often! This week I submitted by 820 partner visa online. I was wondering if it is a requirement to also upload Form 80 (character form) along with my other evidence, or will I only have to complete it if requested to do so by Dept of Immigration?

My understanding is yes, under Character Documents on the Home affairs Step by Step it states:

Complete and provide Form 80 Personal particulars for assessment including character assessment (554KB PDF)

I am not sure about forms 40Sp and 47SP? Are these basically obsolete now, as the answers on these forms are addressed in the online application?

I am applying for my 820 in 2 weeks, so am paranoid I am missing vital forms!

40SP and 47SP are online forms now, and can be found under the New Application tab in immi account under Family (sponsor for partner visa and Stage 1 partner visa).

Not sure where everyone keeps getting the information about paper 40SP and 47SP as I don't think they've been referred to as such on immigration's website (current or one just changed) for over a year now.

Form 80 use to be a form that might be requested.

Now it seems always requested.

So best to just do it.

Forms 40 &47SP are the online version (but with a few extras like the written sections) - so no need to do them.
