Hi all,

Last year, I applied for the Offshore Partner (Provisional) subclass 309 visa but was unable to complete the medical examination as I was pregnant. This year, I entered Australia on an ETA, I delivered my baby in Australia and completed my medical exam in Australia. After medical exam, I was emailed by CO to leave Australia in order for application to proceed; as I need to be outside Australia at the time my 309 visa is granted. However, CO said I need to depart for 2 weeks. This is a long time of separation from myself and family (baby and husband). Furthermore, baby does not have a passport so cannot depart Australia yet, and baby is being breastfed.

What are my options? 1. Do I ask CO to not proceed with my application as I cannot leave my baby for the time being? 2. Do I ask CO if CO can narrow down the time frame of departure to one (1) day instead of two (2) weeks? So that I can leave Au for one day when visa is granted and return the next. 3. Any other options?

Thank you.
