Hey
This is regarding the skills assessment. I am an integrity engineer in the oil and gas industry with 5+ years of experience. I have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from India and an M.Sc. (in progress)
For those of you who don't know, an integrity engineer does technical work i.e. stress calculations and technical writing i.e. procedures, management systems for oil and gas assets. My career episodes will likely comprise of three projects involving the aforementioned works.
Do you think its ok for me to apply for a qualification assessment as a Mechanical engineer? And likely to receive a positive outcome for professional engineer based on qualification assessment alone? The ANZSCO spec for Industrial engineer seems to be a better fit. But as more states have Mechanical Engineer on their CSOL, I feel that would be better as I would have more options.
And I am not very particular about points for work experience as I could get to 60 without it.
Thanks
