Hey Guys, almost a year after lodging our application and looking to get the medical examination done in the near future.

I have a quick question regarding medicals.

My partner went to the doctor earlier this year and took a short prescription for “depression”.

No longer on any medication and no formal diagnosis. Also didn’t affect ability to work, carry on with day to day functions etc.

Of course this needs to be disclosed, but has anyone had any experience with this? Is it grounds for not meeting the medical requirement?

Your partner shouldn't have an issue meeting medical requirements.

They're looking for significant conditions that have the potential to cost the system more than $40,000 over the first 5 years in Australia. I wouldn't worry.
