Hi all,

So my partner has completed her medical and we sent it off a few weeks ago and now her doctor is saying she may be showing signs of low level bipolar and has recommended her to a psychologist for a possible formal diagnosis.

Are we obligated to get another medical if she does get a diagnosis or update immigration should this happen?

I imagine we would have too, but I’ve not really been able to find anything ahout conditions that occur after the medical has been completed and submitted

I think I would keep quiet about the "bipolar" disorder. The medical examination is designed to look for infectious diseases that are dangerous to the Australian population and those that cost a lot of many. Some like a low range bipolar disorder is difficult to pick up on a regular examination. Such conditions can be managed well with low-cost medications.
