We applied for a defacto visa 18 months ago and they've just requested more information. My partner is from the UK and his police check from back home came back with "no live trace" so they obviously want more infomation about what charges have been stepped down. He seems to think it was from an incident when he was underage and he doesn't remember if he was just cautioned or what the outcome was. We are applying to get more info from ACRO, but in the meantime we have to fill out the form 80 which asks a bunch of questions about your criminal history and I don't know what to write because he can't remember exactly what happened and we don't want to be lying to immigration. Please help before I go insane, I cant wait to be done with this paperwork.

Same thing happened for us. My partner couldn't remember much so we just did a statement saying to the best of his knowledge this is was he thought it was about. Visa was approved within 2 hours of us uploading the statement. We had already filled in the form 80 & answered no to the being arrested,criminal charges question.
