My citizenship application is approved, husband and children still showing "Received"

My husband and I applied for citizenship together on 24th February, 2019. We have two children under 16, who are on husband's application.

We got our interview date for 17 December 2019, husband's was in the morning, mine was in the afternoon. Both of us cleared the interview and test. I was asked to provide an additional document, for which i received an email and updated it on my immi account. My husband wasn't asked to provide anything else.

Afterwards, my husband travelled outside Australia from 18th December 2019 to 31st December 2019. He is back in Australia.

We kept checking our immi accounts. Mine started showing "Approved" in the second week of January and I received my letter in the mail last week. My husband's is still showing "Received".

Has anyone been through a similar situation? I know of a colleague whose status showed "Received" even after he got his approval letter in the mail. Does travelling effect your place in the approval queue?

I don't know if we should call the department to get an update or not. Even if we should, i don't know which number to call on.

Thanks in advance :).

Depending on their age, you can expect the children to be included on your husband's citizenship certificate.
Yes, I'm aware of that. I know that each application is processed independently. Since the children were on my husband's application, they'll continue to be on his till the application is finalised.

My concern is how much does travelling effect the approval timeframe?

Travelling only affects the timeframe if the applicant isn't available for the scheduled test or ceremony so needs to reschedule. Unfortunately the best you can do at the moment is wait for his to be processed.

Hi, just wondering have your husband receive the approval letter yet? And when did he received it? My husbans is still waiting for approval while i already got it few mons ago. Thanks.
Did you say few months? My wife cleared her citizenship test 3 weeks ago but her application still hasn’t approved yet. I’m curious to know what could be the reason for the delay.

The same thing happened to me. My wife and I did our test same day 30mins apart on July 7 and both traveled overseas for 2 weeks. My wife got her approval letter just 3 days ago and mine is still reading received. I guess that is how they operate right?

I am in the same boat of ppl waiting for the approval after passing the test .
My wife and I gave the interview on same day (10 mins apart) i.e. 14 Dec in Melbourne . She received her approval within 2 hours while i am still waiting for it . We both were interviewed by different immigration officers on day of the test/interview .
