I would like some assistance in the interpretation of the following phrase taken from the Visa 47SP application form for the 820 visa.
Sponsor penalty checks:
Police certificates from each country in which the
sponsor had spent a total of 12 months or more in the
last 10 years since turning 16 years of age.

For the past 10 years I have spent considerable time in my partner's country of Indonesia - sometimes as many as 5 trips in one year. (I'm an Australian Citizen) If I was to add up all the days/weeks this would easily add up to 12 months. In fact over the 10 year period it would more likely add up to 6 years. However I have never worked in the country. Does my accumulation of stays in Indonesia amount to the definition of: "has spent a total of 12 months or more"?
I'm sort of confused over the wording - is a 'total of 12 months or more' the same as 'more than 12 months'?
Thanks for any advice.

Yes, "a total of 12 months or more" means 12 months or any period longer than that.
