Hi, everyone. I'm an American high school senior, and I'll be starting a carpentry apprenticeship next year. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, I want to get a Working Holiday Visa in Australia. My destination will either be Sydney, Adelaide, or Melbourne, and I intend to do the work necessary to extend the visa for an extra year. I need some advice on the working holiday, though. Will I be able to perform any skilled labor, specifically anything carpentry-related? Will I need a skills assessment to get jobs in that field? And, should an employer want to sponsor me, would I be able to get a TSS visa while on the WHV visa? My end goal is to move to Australia.
