Hi all group members,

I am from India and I have completed my graduation in 2011. I have work experience of 4 years in a US based MNC and after that I have gap of 2.5 years. I have personal reasons for the same. Now I want to pursue my higher education.

I wanted to know Do I still have any chance of getting Australian student visa as my current age is 28 and gap as well. I want to go for masters in IT only which would be progression of my last educational degree.

Would appreciate any assistance regarding the doubt.

Thanks and Regards

Hi there

The study gap itself shouldn't be a problem as long as you can show that you are a genuine student. You will need to write a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement and attach it to your application. The GTE statement should explain all your circumstances, including why you are choosing to do this course, why it will further your career, why you want to take it in Australia etc. Don't forget to attach evidence to support what you say in your GTE! (Lots of people forget to do this).

Good luck!
