Hi there,

Just a quick one,

What is the best way to let the department know you will not be in the country, so that they do not grant your 820 (currently on an 417) while you are not in Australia therefore invalidating it?

Going away for 1 month and am concerned about it being granted while I am on holiday.

Should I just write a statement and upload it to the documents in our application, or is there a better way so that is does not get lost in all the other information on there?

1. They won't grant it if you're offshore.
2. They know you aren't in the country when the time comes because of your passport.
3. I just wrote a statement with travel dates and contact information during the trip and uploaded it to immi.

You can simply update your address details through ImmiAccount and change them when you return.
