Not really. Just look at all the posts about status changes or it says updated in November. None of it really means anything. My first visa I checked immi every day and the status never changed from received. Second visa, I didn't even bother checking. I just woke up to the golden email.
I would say check it once on the weekend in case you missed an email.
It's so much more rewarding to wake up and have a grant than to be obsessive and check several times a day! It's like the countdown to a birthday or Christmas or whatever... the more you think about it, the longer it seems to take!
