Some people, if they submit everything up front, never get a request for further information. The first they hear is the grant email.
Hey yeah i know i just don't understand why immi view the people that get RFI first surly if they are looking at all the people that submitted around my time and they don't need anything from me why cant they just grant it, i guess their just running out of spots for this year and giving them to older 2017 apps which i understand. it just confuses me when i hear from people from USA office that lodged after me getting RFI. i guess we will never understand the way the system works.

Very Observant haha that would be correct.'Only' at 11 months of waiting.
Well, depending on which visa you applied for you could be waiting another 3 to 9 months.

But, you're probably far more observant than me, so you know that. :D

It hasn't even been a year for you yet?

I suggest looking for ways to stay Zen, because the wait is like a yoyo, some weeks you're fine other weeks/months you feel like it's all too much and you can't do it anymore. Namaste my brothers and sisters.

Hi all,
We are offshore too.
My husband applied over 26 months ago! And since then they Have asked him to do health checks and police checks not once but twice. Everything came up as fine, and we have been providing them with photos and updates witg our daily life... His from denmark ( low country risk ) so I'm not sure what is their deal with taking way too long. I've been living witg him for the last 2 year's and they know that.. yet they don't give us any answers to the extreme delay! However my visa is running out and I'll have to go back to Australia and it's extremely difficult considering we've been living together, day in - day out for the past 2 years. I've came across many post and stories over the internet and with friends etc however, no one that I've known have taken this long.. I'm so worried and would really like to hear of any of you put there have takebcthem this long ...

Thank you
Very Sad to know, it must quite hard to wait that long. Is there any complication in your case like previous relationship/Divorce or any court cases of applicant or of sponser or any other reason you can think of for delay.

i have been waiting for 14 months, it may be because i had been divorced earlier i think that may be the reason for my delay, I thought max it will be 24 months, this is the first time I see 26 months. OMG!
Yes, it's extremely difficult. I've however spend 99.9% of all of this time with him in Europe (where he currently lives) and provided and showed them that we are in a genuine relationship. I left my home and my family and everything for the past 2 years and travelled across the world just to be with him and after all of that.. They have taken this long .. it's beyond believe. Yes, we both were married before and got divorced but did not have any complication with the past relationships, they just didn't work, and this is my first time to sponsor and, never been to court for anything for neither of us or had any criminal record or anything. We do email them but they dont really response.. it's just unexplainable. He had done twice the health exams and police checks and spends hundreds and hundreds of dollars and any other little extras for stamps etc. And to top it off , just entering 27 months.. it's beyond any logic and fairness at this point.

Quick question on submission for 100 visa, on the Stat Dec template (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form...ec_sponsor.pdf) it asks in no. 4 "insert the year your spousal relationship commenced" so silly question but they are talking about the date we got married? not the date we started our relationship?
We put the date we met, then the day he met my folks and we committed to a relationship. I was confused, I guess.

Hi Raj,

Not sure if you've read my story but I'm in the same boat as you. My husband applied for 309 visa 26 months ago and about a month ago he was asked for pcc as well and health exams. He did it and now we're just waiting. Give them some time, hopefully this is the last step and both of us will hear back from them. I fully know and understand how stressful this situation is but lets pray we're at the end of it ... good luck to you!

Sponsor application in Submitted state

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum.

My partner and I applied for 309 Partner visa 2 weeks ago. My partner is the primary applicant and I'm the sponsor.

The status on my partner's application is showing as Received whereas in mine application (Sponsor) it's still showing as Submitted. As a result, the documents which I have uploaded in my application are not reflected in my partner's application.
I have cross checked the TRN number and it all seems right.

Has anyone faced this issue before or is this normal? I was expecting the documents which I uploaded from the sponsor application to be shown in the primary application.

Need your insights on this.

Thanks in advance!!

I would not worry too much about the sponsors status.

Mine for the 820 visa STILL shows "submitted", and that visa was granted in 2016...

Hi everyone, I haven't posted here in a couple of months, but just wanted to let everyone know that my partner received his grant last Friday! That is almost exactly 8 months processing time for us from the Nairobi office. He is required to enter by July this year.

We front loaded everything, and received no communication from the department during this time!

Advice - Be patient and it will just surprise you one day!

How would I prove that I can sponsor him financially - or is that not a requirement?
