Anyone else had been interviewed? Is this a new process?
From the past posts, I haven't read on any interviews, just lately.
Truly appreciate any reply / inputs.

My partner and I just applied and paid for her 309/100 visa! She's from the US; any idea on a timeframe for US applications? Should we do the medical ASAP, or when it's requested by a CO?

US partner visa thread - https://www.australiaforum.com/visas-immigration/27105-pmv-309-timeline-washington-d-c-368.html

There's lots of info on this forum regarding when to do meds/police checks. As an offshore/US applicant myself, I waited three months then did it without being asked. You run the risk of it expiring if your application isn't granted within one year so you might have to pay and have it done again...just keep that in mind.

There are no right or wrong answers to the questions. They just want to know if you are the one that filled all the applications. They will ask you all the questions on the application form such as:
1. where your sponsor is born?
2.your sponsor's siblings
3.How, when and where both of you first met
4.what you do to keep the relationship going
5. how do u communicates etc

7 months is not too far, everybody's case is different. just exercise little patient. Don't worry about any documents because your CO will request for any documents needed when the time comes

Sense check - documents for 309/100

All,

After many years of should we/shouldn't we debates my wife and I have finally decided to take the plunge and apply for a visa. As a result we have spent some several weekends going through our combined paperwork (spanning over 17 years of relationship of which 10 married) and come to the following list. We are a bit light in some areas as we almost don't know where to start, but have the following:

Mutual commitment
- Wedding certificate & pictures from 2009
- Pension statements with the other as beneficiary
- Communication while apart
- Future plans (only a Christmas holiday at this time, nothing long term)

Nature of the household
- Joint lease (3 past houses since 2014)
- Utility bills (where joint, most were in one name only for convenience)
- Joint mobile phone bill
- Pictures of last 6 shared addresses (all with same furniture!)
- Official change of address to government agencies for both of us
- Declaring each other as spouse in immigration documentation of other countries since 2010
- Declaration of each other as partner with our common employer, including when jointly transferring to other countries
- Drivers licenses for 3 different locations with same address each time
- Tax forms declaring each other as partner
- Rent paid when I first moved in with my future wife in 2005

Social aspects
- Some pictures with friends and family from 2005-2019 (about 1 per 2 years)
- History of joint travel (around 10 joint airline tickets out of many options, including ~13 trips to Australia)
- Pictures of joint travel
- 3-4 joint wedding invites, ~4 envelopes addressed to both, some emails addressed to both
- Joint activities: 3 PADI diving cards each issued at same time/same location, some ski passes, theatre tickets
- 1 Christmas circular from my parents announcing our wedding to their friends

Financial aspects
- Joint US Tax returns since 2014
- Joint car purchase in 2014 (last one)
- Joint bank account 2007-2010 and 2014-2019 (gap is due to living in a country where a joint account is very unusual. Joint account since 2016 rarely used as we now mostly use a credit card)
- Joint car registration and insurance 2014-2019
- Joint travel insurance 2010-2014 (we stopped getting insurance in 2014)
- Joint contents insurance 2016-2019 (before that in my name only)

In some areas we have more than enough, but we are a bit light on social evidence (a lot done via apps and verbally, plus we don't socialise much) and although we have a history of joint bank accounts we have not yet extracted a lot of evidence/detail on how we pay the bills. Any advise on how important that might be is appreciated.

Feedback very welcome!!

Should not be a problem with all that history, it's a waiting game.

So on my immi account, it reads sponsor approved just after his name. But still reads further assessment. Is there anyone else who's seen that on their immi, sponsor approved? But still waiting on Visa? And what that could imply?

Thanks
That means nothing accept it your sponsor is approved. U still have to wait

You have much more than we had. But we had only been together for 9 months, before the PMV.

We had zero social evidence, other than some photos with my daughter, and one photo with me and her parents.

With your 17 years relationship, and 10 years marriage, I can't imagine your lack of social evidence being an issue.

The main checks are to see if your relationship is genuine or is designed just to get the visa... I would say you have that covered...

Hi all,

We applied for a partner visa for my husband in May this year, just before we got married in July. We've only live together briefly, and we're currently living apart because of work and study commitments. How much will this matter for processing our application?
