We submitted an online application (India) on January 14,2019. Received a s56 request form with a pre- assessment notification on 9th October, 2019. We applied for a tourist visa on 5th October and it got rejected. My application is also under further assessment. Please update if you get any improvements on your application.
As others informed, I think its just simply auto generated email that people receive. It was for few documents that I have already provided except online 40sp (I attached under my name before)
Did you apply Visitor Visa(Family Sponsored)? I have seen lately so many rejections for normal visitor visa! I have applied family sponsored Visitor visa 2 times and got 3 months visa both times. On the other hand take it positive, they might have rejected as its under processing and they might be looking into to go for main visa

One of the forum on this site linked with Partner Visa Processing at New Delhi even advised that as soon as processing starts if applicant is onshore, its time to fly straight away back to country as otherwise they will put your file away to wait to for you to come back first!!
My sponsored tourist visa was rejected citing reasons that were unconvincing. Taking it positively as you mentioned.
I applied for another police clearance, since mine got expired and from reading the previous posts on this forum, the next document that they might usually ask for is a pcc and Medical clearance in case if they have expired. Does the grant come from New Delhi AHC ?

Thank you.

I'm talking about the PR visa. New Delhi Office has opened after a long weekend. Hoping for a grant mail soon 🙂

hi guys, am not quite clear with the process of how the visa grant happens,

is the grant given from the department of home affairs which is based in Australia or is it that when our documents are uploaded, depending on the country of the visa applicants originality the assessment is done by the applicants Australian embassy ?

does the local embassy have any role in this process ?

would be happy if someone could clarify this for me plz.

 309 and 100 granted!!

Applied April 15th 2019

Entered Australia on a 12 months visitor visa on September 30th

Asked to leave Australia on October 15th (exactly 6 months after I lodged application)

Left last Sunday night, and yesterday I got two golden emails!! 😍

Been together since 2016.
No agent.
No kids.
Not married.
Processed in Berlin.
Swedish applicant.

My only advice is to frontload, don’t make them ask you for further information. Do your medical and police checks, it’s worth the risk of them expiring. Most people that get a RFI have to wait another few months after being contacted.

Good luck to everyone waiting!

Hello,

I assume the local embassy has a role in the correspondence. Not sure about the decision making.

Congratulations. You are very lucky.

If you have applied for 309, have you been married to your partner for a long time. Have you lived with your partner together after your marriage and before you lodged your application? Is your partner (sponsor) currently living in Australia? What type of evidence have you provided about the relationship. e.g. Viber/Whatsapp, email, joint bank accounts, photos etc.
Thanks.

Any further correspondence?
Nope, Still under Further Assessment!
Grants from India have gone dry recently. Have you heard of any recent grants? I read else where that the waiting time usually varies from country to country and India's is about 11-15 months usually. Also, I noticed that the s56 RFI is usually not the same. What was yours? Mine was a " Pre- assessment document request" and had around 4 items listed under each category ( social, household, finances, commitment). Infact one of the category had " proof that we are not related " statement declaration. But the document had a disclaimer stating " if we had already submitted documents under the above mentioned category, kindly ignore the request".

Well, it was kind of same request for me too. Most of the thing that were asked in that checklist were already provided so I replied to same email explaining where these documents are. YES, it says this is a pre assessment only and nothing in your file been checked yet so if you have already provided please don't attach it twice. Only thing I had to do was to go for new 40SP as I previously thought simple form 40sp that we had to attach under sponsor's name was enough but turned out we need to fill online 40sp too. Fingers Crossed now, Hopefully won't be long..
Yes, New Delhi post is gone very slow. seems like all the visa from Canada are getting approval faster these days..
My wife is here onshore at the moment an she is flying next week so hoping once she fly out of Australia will do something good.

I received my RFI only after exiting the country. My tourist visa was rejected stating I might be on shore when they make a decision.
Hoping for some news soon.
