We applied from NZ, my partner is from the UK (so low-risk). Yeah I am not expecting to hear from a case officer until at least like the end of October (just going off other peoples experiences in NZ). :)

We've just passed the 3 month mark and heard nothing at all (applied in NZ as well, and partner from UK too) ... waiting waiting!

Hey all, currently on this waiting train too :(
Applied in March, and the only news is the limited info that we've had from calling the embassy in Ottawa.
We're heading to aus in less than 2 weeks so looks like it's not gonna be here by then.
6 months and counting so far...

Hey All,

We lodged our application on March from Bulgaria i.e. the embassy in Serbia and still waiting. I submitted my medical & police checks just after I applied, hoping that will speed up he process...Well, not really:)
Been assigned a CO in late April, in July she requested a Free to Marry certificate (for a partner visa?!?) that I was able to provide in August. Nothing eversince...Any light in the tunnel for anyone?:)

Hi everyone! we applied first week of March through Berlin embassy. so we are getting close to 7 months. We are in the quiet waiting stages, hopefully at the end of this looong and grueling waiting journey. Its been pretty simple so far actually. Got assigned a CO right away, request for more info on second day and we were still uploading all of those documents anyways. we did medicals and backround check right away as well. all of the action happened in March and absolutely nothing else since. so ya pretty straight forward really. My partner is overseas waiting to come home and I am just holding the fort in good old AUS. I usually post in the Berlin thread but today I found this one. I am missing my partner way too much and just want to be together, like everyone else on here. Its getting harder and hard to wait longer...

good luck everyone. :)

Good luck everyone, hang in there. It's hard to keep waiting and waiting (especially when hearing nothing from a CO!) but it will be worth it to be able to go home and be together :)

Hi everyone. Applied for 309 visa for my French husband 3 weeks ago. We were hoping to be in Australia by March to start a masters degree, but judging by the wait times I've seen on this forum, it looks like 5 months might not be realistic...might need to work out a plan B. We're both waiting in France and I have a permanent visa here already (much easier, cheaper and less invasive process than for Australia!).

Hey everybody,
I am from Kenya, my wife is an Aus citizen. We have been in a genuine relationship since 2009 and got married in Aprill 2013 here in Nairobi. We were blessed with a very beautiful lovely baby girl in Feb 2014. We applied my partner visa 309/100 in July 2014 in Nairobi AHC. Submitted the PCC with the application. Not yet medical. No single word since from the AHC Nairobi Kenya.

As all of you here in this forum,my fingers are crossed for further communication like allocation of a CO, request for Medical and any other documentation, in case required. Lets us relax in the most frustration period in our lives in this wait and hear world.

Best wishes to everybody including myself.

Regards,
Hassan

Missnoir I presumed you loadged in Madrid . sit and relax because you won't hear anything for a long time unless they need any additional documents. Madrid processes visa between 7 to 9 months at the moment . you might wanna join the Madrid thread to get an idea . I loadged my husband's in Madrid around June this year

Well I lodged it online and they asked which embassy was the most convenient to go for an interview (if necessary) so we selected London cos it's easier to get to with the Eurostar. Maybe that was a mistake...waiting times in London are now 10-14 months.

You're so lucky :)
My high commission gave my husband a tourist visa for 6 months single entry when he was meant to get a spouse visa with multiple entries. We even paid for my husband's Indian spouse visa but the consulate handed my husband's passport with a tourist visa stamp :( And we didn't have enough time to get it changed so just took what we got :(

It's been 11 months since my husband had to fly back to Australia and life's been hell since he left. I don't think the word "hell" properly describes the situation we both are in right now. Worse is when the AHC doesn't give us any proper update as to how far along they are in processing our application.

Mind you 95% of the Indian applicants get their partner visas approved within 8-10 months even though it's a high risk country. I'm still stuck here for 15 months and the tunnel seems to be getting longer even after all the updated paperwork has been provided :(

Good Luck to you! Wish you a timely grant :)

Kind Regards,
Becky

Your visa will be processed in Madrid not London. Anyway all the best and just forget about the application while they process it .

No security checks for Indian nationals (who haven't resided in any of the countries which do need ASIO checks) , Thank the LORD!! I think those are only for applicants from Middle Eastern and African countries from what I've read on the forum.

My Indian PCC expired because my case officer forget to check it's date and then requested for a new one. The one that expired was issued by VFS India in Brisbane and didn't need my passport to have my husband's name added to it (Indian passports have residential address and name of spouse column on the back page).

But the passport office in India needed me to get my husband's name and residential address updated, without it they wouldn't issue me a PCC. So had to get my passport (which had 7 more years on it) re-issued which took 41 days to get back from the passport office immediately after which I applied for my new PCC and submitted it to VFS Australia on the same day.

Now it'll be a week on Monday 29, 2014 since AHC received my PCC along with updated proof of relationship and I haven't heard anything from my case officer which is kind of stressing me out especially when the last time I spoke to her she said that it won't take long to finalize the application as she was only awaiting the submission of my new PCC. I emailed her on last Sunday but there was no reply :(
I'm gonna try to get hold of her tomorrow, hoping she will give me some update/information on what's going on.

Thank you for your encouraging words :)
Wish you a timely grant! Good Luck! :)

Kind Regards,
Becky
