So, question, has anyone noticed that Immigration has revised the time down again on the waiting times for visa. Last month it said "13 Months" for 75%, its now down to "12 months".

I'm glad that it is going down, for everyone. Don't know if that translates into sooner for many of us though

I've been living in Australia for the past six months on my 309 and my wife's still says submitted. Don't think the sponsors changes.

Mine is the same - status hasn't changed from "submitted" although my partner's says "Further Assessment".

Few days back, I had written to you guys about getting frequent messages from Immigration 3 messages in 1 month asking to submit 40SP. I wrote I am confused as I have done 40SP online + uploaded the old pdf form. I didn't get much help in the forum as no one understood my case.
Now, I called my cousin who had already done his visa and got it.
He asked me to call Immigration. I called them and they directed me to my case officer. She told me that my loine form is not submitted properly. I made a mistake in writing my partner's TRN.
I again did online 40SP.So,now in system 2 times 40SP is submitted.
Guess what. Yesterday, my partner's visa is done.
She got it. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I can't believe my eyes.
I am unhappy with department to finalize so early.
I had submitted visa application on August 2, 2018. in 4 months, got visa guys.
And we are still not married. We are getting married in India in April 2019.
She already got partner visa 309. We had got engaged in June 2018 when I went to India. I live in Canberra, Australia.

Applied: August 2nd 2018 in India.
Initial Assessment: October 10th, 2018
Uploaded PCC, medical & 40SP online form: October 17th, 2018.
Further Assessment: November 2nd, 2018 (asking form 40SP)
Further Assessment: November 13th, 2018 (asking form 40SP)
Further Assessment: November 22nd, 2018 (asking form 40SP)
Called Immigration on November 23rd, 2018
Visa Grant:November 27th, 2018
Getting married April 17th 2019

What a shame. Tell them you don't want it until May then...

No offense, but that's not really a nice thing to say in a waiting room where you know people wait significantly longer than that. Yes, you got your visa fast. Yes, the waiting room is for sharing timelines. But to come at it with an attitude like that is just bad sport.

Rather than a congratulations, I suppose I'll give you my sympathy. How unfortunate for you that immigration ruined your plans.

That's unfortunate. Sometimes Immigration gets in the way and you are forced to welcome your wife-to-be in your home.

You could ask her to wait, I am sure she will understand.
Anyway, I hope you' ll find a way to postpone the move in together to May19.

Guys.
Was just joking!!!! Some guys in the group took it in a bad way.
Is very happy of getting the visa so fast. So, thought of sharing in the group. I was just a passive reader of the group. Never wrote much but was tracking guys post here.
Now, I see a lot of guys sharing about waiting period + visa processing times.
Even my cousin who was married with a 5 year old kid got his spouse visa but took almost 8 months. My other friends who are married recently with no kids took around 7 to 11 months. I am not even married and was looking for a long wait. I was hoping to apply for a visitors around June 2019 if didn't get visa.
So, I had made a big load of plans. Now, we got visa bit soon so I am hoping to take time to get my partner here after marriage. Even she is on her overseas assignment in UK and she can't come out with her job commitments.So, we will have to stay guys.
But yeah a big hurdle is cleared.
Wanted to share to you guys that just listen to people's cases here and be positive.
Don't conclude all these 8 months or 10 months or 20 months.
It is all case to case differences, luck, you never know with some applications what the case officers think - like they just want to make people wait and see, etc etc.
See here I got in 4 months.So, we can't say. Someone can get in 2 months also.
So, just do your best and hope for the best.

Time line applied off shore from new delhi on 03/11/18 medical and pcc alreday uploaded .Been trying to request a priority processing as my 10 mo son isnt doing well. Who is also an australian citizen.

I've been reading the forum for quite some time now and appreciate all the information that is available here. So I thought I'd contribute as well by keeping you up to date on my progress.

Just submitted my application for 309/100 on November 25th. Applied online from the Netherlands, so think it should be processed by the Berlin embassy.

Preparing and gathering all the necessary documentation proved to take a lot longer than expected, but happy to be able to take the next step. Now the anxious waiting begins.

Will let you all know when there is more progress.
