Got the wonderful news yesterday - my husband's visa has been granted!

Our timeline:
Applied - 16 July 2018
Medicals submitted - 28 August 2018 (first available appointment)
Request for further info - 23 November 2018 (sponsor's birth certificate). This was uploaded on 5 December 2018 as we had to order a copy. This was the only communication we received.
Visa granted - 14 January 2019

Interestingly, the status of my application (the sponsor) changed to 'Approved', and as expected, husband's to 'Finalised'.

Good luck to you all, and thank you so much to everyone on this forum. Such a truly helpful and generous group of people - thank you.
Congratulations!
Where was it processed?

Application date : 17 May 18
Health Examination Requested : 2 Oct 18

Hi, my partner and I have received an email from our CO asking for additional documents ( sponsor- character requirements). We’ve already submitted our national police clearance from our home country ( NBI - Manila, Philippines) and an AFP clearance for the sponsor).
Thus, we’re confused with the requested additional document.
This is the emailed statement of the case offficer:

Sponsor – Character requirements
Your sponsor has submitted an National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance where a "No Criminal Record" remark was recorded.
As such, your sponsor must submit a certification from NBI indicating the reasons for the above remark. He should also provide certified copies of the relevant court documents that the offences in the NBI certification relates to.

How exactly does he want us to comply with this when the police clearance indicated no criminal record YET he is asking for a certification from the same agency that issued the clearance?

We don’t know how to clarify this one from the case officer. Is it alright to call IMMI from Sydney and ask about this? Or would it be better to call the Australian embassy Manila?

Please if anyone could perhaps share some advice on this one that would be great.

We lodged our application in Hong Kong as well. June 2018 and we're still waiting for a case officer up until now.

When did you lodge your application?
I submitted my application in mid of November last year. You submitted much earlier than me. Certainly I have a long way to go......

Have you done the Health assessment? I have done it in November last year and I thought it was too early to submit.

and have you submitted the police check as well?

Hello... New here...

1. Please how do you know which office is processing your application. Is it the option to choose the closest office to you in the form?

2.Does anyone know anything about the average processing time for Kenya and Pretoria.

Thank you.
I'm processing in Kenya. Started a thread just to see if there's anyone else from Kenya on here. I think if you search your country and processing office you'll get a response. It depends on where you're from though...

I haven't done my health assessment yet but will do my it this February while I'm in tourist visa in Australia. Plus I am waiting for the request letter from the immigration to be able to get the HK police check.

Where is your country of residence? I'm from the Philippines and was working in hk when we lodged my visa.

I live in Hong Kong.
I think it is required the reference letter from the Case Officer to do the police check.

My status as a sponsor is approved, however my partner visa has not been granted.

It is almost for more than a month it shows approved.

Is it positive thing or it means nothing?

can anyone tell ?? do case officer asked evidence from the very start of relation
You should provide evidence to support when you say your relationship started. And it's risky waiting to be asked to provide it. A case officer is under no obligation to request more information and can make a decision just with what you have provided.
