Hello, I'm attempting to apply for a Working Holiday visa through immi.au's online application process. Ive almost finished the application (I just have to pay), but when Ive looked through the application checklist I realize that I havent been asked for any of the certified documents it says I need to attach to a PAPER application. Do I need to submit these documents before or after I lodge the application? When submitting them do I send them to an Immigration office through the post or do I simply scan my documents and somehow attach them to a file and then send it to the office via the internet? If I DO infact have to attach them through a file, how would I do this?

Im very, very lost. I want to finish my appliction as soon as possible but I'd rather not pay 300 dollars to find out I lodged an incomplete application.

Any and all answers are appreciated. Thank you!

when i applied i was confused by this too, but in the end i wasn't even asked for any documents, never had to show proof of insurance or funds etc etc. so based on my own experience (i'm an American who applied for a WHV 462 online in April 2010), i would say that you should just finish applying. if after looking through your application they decide they want something from you i'm sure they'll contact you and your app won't be considered incomplete since you were never asked to supply anything during the app process.

that's just my two cents...

I am in the same situation right now.System asks me "Do you have health insurance to cover your stay in Australia?"Since I have not granted yet, I didn't even apply for insurance. So should I say yes or no to that questions. What was your answer Nighstar?I would be appreciated if you reply this thread again.

i said "no". i didn't have insurance when i applied, didn't have insurance when i arrived and having been here for a year and a half i still do not have health insurance. i am fairly certain that it's optional.

Thank you so much nighstar.I really appreciated.I will have just couple more questions if you don't mind.
Did you send any other documents with your application?Like first two pages of your passport, 2 photographs, birth certificate?I've heard some people just filled out online application, didn't send any other documents and they were approved. If they don't ask me to send those documents I should not send them anything, except application?

Also there is question "What employment do you intend to do in australia?".What should I say that? That question is important?

How do you do there? You extended your stay, that means you loved Ausse I guess.I am really excited and can't wait to be in Brisbane:)
Thank you in advance.

i was never asked to supply any documentation with my application. i would make sure that you have the documents just in case, but you may not need to supply any either.

about the employment question, just be honest. i don't think that your answer is important. they are probably just curious to see what kinds of jobs people who come to Australia want to do.

as for me, Australia & Brisbane are alright. i always intended to stay for a long time, i just used the WHV to get into the country and work. now i'm applying for a Partner Visa. :) goodluck with your visa.

Just to add some reassurance for you. I am an American, and I applied for my WHV in August 2011. I didn't send in any documentation, just answered the questions. I was approved in 4 hours. I was prepared to show documents when I arrived in January of 2012, like my evidence of funds and health insurance, but wasn't asked for anything there either. They just asked why I was in Australia, told them I was here on holiday, that I might work, and was staying for the whole year. Like the previous poster, I am using the WHV to live with my boyfriend for a year then apply for the partner visa. I felt the same stresses you are when I applied for the WHV, and the entire process turned out to be beyond easy! What part of Oz are you coming to?

Thank you again for all answers you've given.I applied last night and got approved today after 11 hours:)I did even have chance to submit any other documents except application. Now I am planning to fly in August or September.I will still have some documents ready before I arrive there, just in case if they ask me anything I will something to show them.
I put Administrative Office Jobs in employment section.
I hope you will stay longer with your partner visa too.I guess it's the place for living, so I will enjoy my entire year over there, because I'd love to stay longer too if I am going to be happier over there in Brisbane. Thanks again for all help:)
