Hi everyone,

My PMV was granted in May 2018 and I have been in Sydney since September 2018.
I am preparing my paperwork to apply for the 820/801 Partner visa but have one question regarding police checks.

Should I be supplying AFPs for both myself and my sponsor/partner anyway? Or wait til they ask me? I have a Police Check done in September 26 2018 for a job I was applying for. Can I use that since it's valid for 12 months or they need a new one from the point I applied for the visa?

Also, regarding foreign police checks from countries we lived at for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, should we get ones from back home or also wait til they ask us?

Any help is greatly appreciated as knowing what to do beforehand will save us a lot of time.

You hive 9 months from the date of PMV grant to apply.

All PCCs are valid for 12 months.

If an applicant has not returned to a country from which a PCC was obtained, some case officers do not routinely request a further clearance
