Hi,

I have a burning question regarding overclaim for work experience. Recently I received state nomination and skillselect invitation for visa 190 with total points of 65. However, there was an error in my EOI resulting to overclaim of 9 months work experience, which I can not change now, having the EOI locked at the time the invitation came in. Even without the 9 months work experience, I will still get the 65 points total since the deduction in work experience did not change my points for experience. I am now in the process of lodging the visa application, should I reflect the correct dates in the visa lodging? What must be done to reconcile the information in the EOI and in the visa lodgement?

Kind regards

U

If it doesn't impact your experience points, it shouldn't have any issue for your visa application. I'd still include a brief cover letter advising that you've realised you input an incorrect employment date but that you are still eligible for the points you've claimed.
