Hi friends. My ex partner and I went through the long process of getting him Aus Residency..granted April 2017. I moved overseas semi permanently soon after and we then agreed to end our relationship mutually for various reasons..
We are concerned this may affect my ex partners Residency visa as it was granted under section 801 .. after the usual 6 year process.. any answers please.. thanks.

If he has 801 that's permanent residency. He'd have to commit a crime for PR to be cancelled.

No it does not affect his Residency

After granted 801 visa, nothing with immigration free from immigration unless he paid to you for permanent residency visa.
He can get a new partner if he wants and or if he doesn’t want to talk to you or whatever he wants except criminal activity.
