Hi all,

I am going to apply for a Skilled Independent (189) visa, and will try to get 5 points from Partner Skills. She has to get a Skill Assessment from VETASSESS. She has a 3-year university degree, but no work experience in that field.

The thing is, according to VETASSESS' website, their Skill Assessment seems to require work experience; and they only talk about visa applicants, not about their partners.

So my question is, in case anyone can give some hint: when the Skill Assessment is "only" for the partner of a visa applicant, is it still a full Skill Assessment? Is it possible to get a positive Skill Assessment given her lack of work experience, or should we just forget about it?

Thanks all!

So I guess that, given the lack of experience, the assessment would be negative... right? Bummer :(

Thank you for your answer!
