Hello All,

Need your help in replying to immigration department.
I have applied for Partner visa subclass 309/100 last July 2017 from India. Right now I am in Australia on tourist visa.
I got mail from india migration visa department, asking me to leave the country within 28 days as my visa is about to get finalized and they have aslo asked us to provide intended date of departure, intended destination and intended return date. I had a query

1. It is written in the mail --> The onus is on the applicant that they should
not depart until they receive a confirmation from the department.
So according to my understanding, here we book the tickets to depart
and return, then inform the department about our dates and should not
depart Australia until the department confirms it?
2. Can anyone tell us in general, how long will it take for the department
to confirm it? As we are not sure when to book to depart and return
tickets.
3.They have asked to provide intended destination(City and Country) ->
Our plan was to stay in Singapore for 2 weeks before going to India.
So here what would be my intended destination?

Thanks in Advance!!

** Most people don't get confirmation that they received your travel plans - so make them very clear to them. Reply to the email and also upload the information to your immi account. Do this again just before you depart. Then once in Singapore again advise them you are offshore. There was a case one person only replied to the email, went offshore to New Zealand for around a week then returned, but the visa was not processed that created big problems.

** They normally seem to want 5 working days, but many seem to be done the day you depart if that's a working day.

** Not seen this asked before but best tell them your plans 2 weeks in Singapore and x in India and intend to arrive back in Australia on x date.
