Hi there,

I have accidentally applied for wrong subclass 300 (prospective partner visa), where as subclass 309 was the correct subclass as i am already married.

Now i am trying to contact Immigration from last one month but have not received any appropriate answer.

Can someone help me how i can resolve this issue.

Is it possible to convert this application to subclass 309 or do i have to withdraw this file and apply again for subclass 309? and if i withdraw this file what is the procedure to get refund?

Really appreciate your help.

Kind Regards,
Verma

You can change a 300 to a 309.

But a 300 you can not be married, and I am pretty sure that is time of application requirement.

Contact a RMA and get it sorted - Immi staff are not qualified to give you the advice and they often get it wrong.

Hi

You can convert your subclass 300 application to a subclass 309 application. The process is to notify the department in writing and then withdraw the subclass 300 application. There is no additional fee if you do this correctly.
I have made the same mistake, and informed immi by submitting 1023 form.Did i follow the correct procedure.?
Thanks
Ini
