Hello everyone :)

Here's our current situation

We spent 3 years together as a couple in Australia (we met in Australia).

We each had 2 WH visas, then we had student visas where he was the student and I was the second applicant, the we applied for 187s where I was the main applicant and he was my partner. By then we had a lot of evidence that we were a de facto couple.

While we were waiting for the 187 lots of things happened and we decided to go our separate ways. We notified the department and withdrew his application. He moved back to Italy.

I went on getting residency and I am now an Australian citizen.

We saw each other again last time I went to Italy (last September) and about 4 months ago he came back to Australia on a tourist visa. We've been together since, spending time between here and NZ.

We are currently in Australia, he is still on a tourist visa, and we would like to apply for a partner visa. Are we eligible to do so?

Of course we have plenty of history but this last time we have only been together for about 4 months. We are about to go to the NT where I don't think it's possible to register our relationship.

Any help, as always, much appreciated!!
