Hi,

My and my partner are planning on lodging a partnership visa from within Australia very soon. I am an austalian citizen and she is Dutch. After years of avoiding Australia due to cost of the visa, having used all he previous visas (WHV). We are now returning as we have run out of working visas elsewhere and Australia is where we feel at home.

My partner was diagonosed with ulcerative colitis while in Australia in 2015. She was treated and has been in remission since 2016. She has had no flare ups and that was the only time she had it.

Has anyone been refused a partner visa from this illness?

Has anyone got any advice about lodging an application with this kind of illness?

We would prefer not to use a migration agent as we have been through the visa process in several countries and know the process but, this is the first time the medical condition could effect the outcome.

It’s an expensive visa to risk not getting approved but we have no other option at this stage.

Thanks
