Hello Folks!

Iv just completed the application for a Partner Visa 820.
My Filipino girlfriend had been to Thailand on a tourist visa on which she overstayed on by 1 year. This was due to broken promises from a former employer.

My question is, how will this effect the visa application???

We have both been honest about her overstay in Thailand on the application but worried that this might go against us!

Also, should i be getting the visa checked over before submitting???

All issues must be addressed so an overstay will need to be addressed well.

For around $600 I would, mostly because you supplied us with no relevant information to answer your question - did you also give little to no information in your 820 application.
