hii everyone
my name is charanjeet
i have applied onshore partner visa 820 in december 2017 and in april 2018 my partner got an email from DIBP requesting for more information, my 457 still in effect but not working under same employer as i have resigned from position and i've called DIBP they told me that once my 457 visa will be cancelled i have to apply for bridging E which doesnt have any rights , i am 6 months pregnant, planning to travel overseas in feb 2019
could anyone please suggest me what should i do to travel overseas if i will be holding brid E?
will the case is taken to priority after babys birth?
how long does it take to grant visa after DIBP requesting for more documents or information?

You might have been well advised to have taken maternity leave, rather than resigning, or to have let your 457 expire.

Depends on the circumstances of the case, not before medical examinations have been completed.

If you hold a bridging A, even if not activated, you can apply for a bridging B to let you travel.

May I suggest that you consult a registered migration agent before you commit to a course of action?

The BVE doesn't have any entry rights, so if you leave Australia, you will have no visa to re-enter. You must be in Australia for the 820 to be granted. So you can hope your 820 is granted before you want to travel or that you may be granted a visitor visa so that you an re-enter Australia in order for the 820 to be granted. Otherwise you may want to reconsider your travel plans.

Being pregnant will have no affect on the processing time. There's no fixed timeframe for DHA to finalise your visa after requesting information, so it could be tomorrow, it could be in 6 months, it could be another year. There's just no way to know.

Hindsight is always 20/20 as the saying goes, but if you are 6 months pregnant it would probably have been a better decision to remain with your employer since you would be able to take parental leave in another couple of months which would mean you would be off work anyway and could have remained on your 457.
