Hello there, I am concerned about lodging a partner visa .I am married to an australian citizen and she is going to have our baby .The problem is my student visa was refused and I have put it under AAT review. Now, my agent is telling me that I can go outside Australia for a week and he would lodge my partner visa and I can come back on the partner bridging visa .Is it true .If not plz suggest me what can be done.I can't leave my wife in this condition.

In the circumstances you have described, to be granted a bridging visa you must be onshore and lodge a valid application for a visa that can be granted onshore.

Is your agent a registered migration agent? If so you might have misunderstood the advice you received.
