Hi All,

First post so please take it easy on me. LOL!

I applied for the Visa above on the 23rd Sept 2017 from the UK (Off shore). My medical is complete and just awaiting Police checks. My wife is Australian and been here in the UK for 7 years. We have two kids who have Australian Passports. The 3 of them are all set to go and will have no problems getting to Australia. Does anybody know how long the visa process is taking at this time of the year? So far no CO has been assigned yet. I just want a rough estimate so that I start to plan things.

Keep in mind that's just people who post on this forum. There are lots of people who don't post here and we wouldn't know how long theirs are taking. In fact I saw a post recently IIRC from someone who applied for a 309/100 I believe, from London, almost a year ago and still no grant.

Assuming you applied for the 309, the latest figures (For Sept 2017 - updated 16 October 2017) show that 75% are processed within 12 months. But the other 25% take longer. 10% actually took longer than 17 months.

You can of course apply for Visitor Visa while waiting, but no work allowed on that.

hi thank you very much for your response. Will keep my eyes peeled. i am sure by end of next march 2018 it will be done. everyone that i have spoken to have said its usually around 6 to 7 months for uk applicants. im hoping this is the case but all applications are assessed on their own merit. are you in the middle of an application?
