Hi everyone,

I'm a UK national currently on a BVA waiting for my 820 Defacto visa to be processed. We submitted the application back in late July so it's been about 6 months.

My UK passport expires today and I've only just renewed it today because I'm an idiot- I just completely forgot about it to be honest. My new passport will take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

What are the implications for my application? Am I unlawfully in Australia if my passport has expired? Do I need to inform IMMI?

Any advice is much appreciated

I think you have nothing to worry as such, if i am not wrong, you just need to update your new passport details through immiaccount.
